Counter-point:
Has anyone ever heard of the Buffalo Theorem? You see, in nature the North American Bison travel together in vast herds. Each herd acts as a unit. This is not unlike the human brain, made up of smaller brain cells. When threatened by a predator, the herd of bison will stampede, leaving behind their elderly and sick kin to be consumed by predators, making the herd a more healthy and efficient machine. Direct parallels can be drawn between this behavior and the reaction of the human brain to alcohol. When threatened, the human brain will sacrifice the elderly and sick brain cells. Since any good machine is only as fast as the limiting agents, this makes the human brain a more efficient and powerful machine. Hence, one is made to feel smarter and more powerful after downing a pint or two.
So there you have it. Solid evidence that runs completely contrary to this "science" and "technology." So I propose a toast: to maintenance! I raise my glass to mental health.
