I found the original NWN on Amazon for about $6 US.
The installer does all of the extracting that it needs to, AFAIK.

Who else is really flattered by the way Bioware decided to handle the issue of getting the files off of the CD. They decided that they would risk placing the NWN data files freely onto the internet (basically saying, "PLEASE PIRATE ME!!") than turn down the linux community. That is why I forgave Bioware for dicking us around for >1 year while we waited for the client.
