    startx on startup (before login)

    I installed Slackware a few nights ago, How can I start x and kdm up to login without logging in using the console and all that? thanks!

    Just change your default runlevel from 3 to for, edit /etc/inittab and change the line:

    id:3:initdefault:

    to:

    id:4:initdefault:

    that should be all you need to do.
