I just started learning MS VB on windows. Now Im wondering if there is an equivelent language for *nix platforms. is there?

There is Phoenix , which is a basic "compiler"/editor that has a GUI for designing forms. No matter what, it is unlikely that you will be able to open/edit VB in Linux and vice versa.
Perl with Tk or Gtk bindings are as easy as working with VBasic and alot more powerfull.
I don't really want to do VB in linux. I just saw how easy it was to make a windows app w/ it. Is there some thing similar in linux for making forms. I came across Glade which seems just like VB.
