    sendmail: sender domain must exist

    Hi,

    My DNS domain had expired a few weeks ago but I believe we fixed this. However today a few people got bounced messages. I'd just like someone else to confirm that
    the rejection came from their server and not mine.

    This came from one of my users.

    ... while talking to rejecting.server.:
    >>> MAIL From:<myuser@mydomain.com> SIZE=188
    <<< 501 <myuser@mydomain.com>... Sender domain must exist
    501 5.6.0 Data format error

    Yeap, your rejectors domain zone must have not updated since the last update where your domain doesn't exist.

    It takes up to 72 hours for some root servers to update all the DNS catching records.
