how the $#%^! do you get rid of the stupid "task-oriented" control panel and get back the good 'ol tabbed config windows?

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but you can go in to preferences and set up for classic look, looks like 98/nt/2k no fluff. I am not at an xp machine right now but if you look around a bit you should be able to find this then I believe each section has a classic look selection although I can't be sure about that. I will look this evening when i get home.

right click on the taskbar and goto properties. One fo the tabs in there has the options you are looking for. I did the same thing. I hate XP's fucking Fisher Price FirstComputer look. So that was like the first to go
