KMail problems

I like KMail but some things it does (doesn't do) is really irritating. Perhaps one of you out there have found a solution. Running MDK 9.0 (KMail 1.4.3) and I notice: how I configure the address book does not "stick." I went thru and placed each name in alpha order, last name, first name, etc. Each time I reopen the address book it is back the way it was: i.e., first name, last name. I also "set" the page as I want to view it, i.e., name, email address, etc, etc. Again, each time I reopen it, I find it back the same way it was before I changed it. Anyone else having this problem?
