I have a 4x DVD player and they play perfectly in Slackware as well!
Yeah, I have noticed that after I setup SCSI emulation across all removeable media, the system is a bit snappier and more responsive.
Thanks for the tip.
Although, why arent you watching the new LOTR dvd set? Theres like 4 more hours of behind the scenes. I watched most of the first disc. Still have the second one to go![]()
sarah31: all i can get is -X33 on on dvd drive, DMA is enable w/o problems though. but this did not help near as much as SCSI emulation. And i did see it on the big screen!! the one movie i did not see on the big screen was Matrix... what a fool was I.
schotty: Lord of the Rings? never saw it... is it any good?

Yes. They earned over $100 now from me. I went 4 times to see it in the theatre ($7.50 x3 + $3)
The DVD they released ($20)
The Collectors Edition DVD ($25)
The Collector's Set DVD Box ($60)
So yes, it is. Which reminds me -- I finally saw Star Wars Ep2. Am I the only one who thought it was seriously lacking, or is it now that I have been watching epic/classic movies up the wazoo, that I have become spoilt? (LOTR, Clash of the Titans, Conan, Heat, Ghost in the Shell ...)
