    Laptop install problem

I installed red hat 7.3 on a ibm 600 and the install went fine.
When it rebooted it made it till the screen said starting up APM daemon.
Then is stops, why is it doing this.
What can I do to correct this?
    Thanks.

    hello,
get into run level one ( there is a PET on this ) and then remove /etc/rc3.d/S26apmd and /etc/rc3.d/S26apmd - that should get youto the point where you can booy normally, the probelm is you won't have apm support, you can also look at you BIOS options.
