    PHP and apache 2x

    Hi,

About a year ago, I tried using PHP 4 w/ Apache 2x and found out that they were not very compatible. Have they fixed this problem? Anyone use PHP w/ Apache 2x?

    thanx,

I believe that Apache 2 with PHP is still not recommended for industry use, but I have yet to run into a problem with it. (running as a module). The only installation difference that I'm aware of, is when you compile php, use --with-apxs2=/wherever instead of --with-apxs=/wherever

yes apache2/php isnt recommended, but ive had no problems with it, whereas apache1/php sometimes runs away andh uses ~100% cpu

UPDATE: I have found a problem with running PHP and Apache 2, if you want to run a phpbb (www.phpbb.com) you must be running Apache 1.3.x or you will need to do some modifying of the php files, and may still have problems.
