Error installing LILO color patch

I tar -xvzf lilo-22.3.4.tar.gz then i 'cp lilo-colors-1.21.1.tar.gz /tmp/lilo-22.3.4' I go into the lilo-colors directory under lilo-22.3.4 and i do make patch and heres what i get
