Kiosk/XTerm - what ip is connection from?

I want to setup a Kiosk/XTerm system using low end hardware connecting to a XDM running on a real box. That is the easy part. The hard part is that I have to make the terminal's floppy or zip disk available for users to save files on.

So, how can I determine which IP a user is coming from via a script? Once I have that, I can use NFS to get to the local zip/floppy and provide access to it.

    Thanks

I'm not a script expert so I'm not going to go into the details but ...

just a suggestion though is that you can run "who" command on the system, match the user name and get the IP from there. Now, you have the IP of the specific user.

If all you want is the IP, Finger output is a lot and you will have a huge scripts to get just an IP. "Who" will work more efficiently and short scripts will do the trick.
