Well the free First Person Shooter put out by the United States Military America's Army just got a fresh release. Sporting a nifty new physics engine and some other niceties that you can read about for yourself. http://americasarmy.com/ is the place to go, and yeah, Its released for Linux, Mac, and that other one...... :twisted:
Is there any single player component for that game? I tried it abiut a year ago on a computer without an internet connection, and every time I finished something, it wanted me to get on the net so I could proceed. That was annoying, as all I could do was go to the target range!

Well there is offline training. Which is kinda cool but the real meat of this game is online.
LOL, there is no "I" in "TEAM". The game was made to promote teamwork, this only obtained online ;-)
I definitely consider it worth connecting to the internet to play
