Just got a replacement Athalon 1.0 CPU from AMD. Plugged it in and fired up the system.

Low and behold it locks up at post. Sometimes a continues beep (more like a stuck key) But mostly just after the Matrox video logo and before allowing to hit del key.

Sometimes I am able to get there but, it will not go past that point. I am unable to access the bios.

I have reset the bios but that did not work. I have swapped memory from PC100 to PC133 and removed the jumper on my MSI K7 Turbo2

Any suggestions?
