Wohoo! I was about to go to freshmeat to look for one of these.
theKompany released today a free (as in beer; no charge for the download) Ogg Vorbis format CD ripper. Binaries for several Linux and a few MS versions are available.

Wohoo! I was about to go to freshmeat to look for one of these.
uhh.... i ahve been doing this with grip and ripperX for quite a while, is something differtnet about this?
Do any of those rip to mp3?
I rip my Ogg's with the built-in ripper in KDE. That one is set to rip from my SCSI cdrom. I use Arson to rip from my DVD drive. Both apps work just fine. Are there any really special features in this that might make it worth downloading?
I took me many tries to get into their ftp site... If you can't get it you can dowload it off of my site all though I got a slow upstream speed.

I downloaded the Win9x version to give it a quick test. I can say that the Win9x version still needs some work. If you specify the directory for it to rip to, it will go through the whole process and then all you have is an empty folder. If you let it rip to the root of the c drive, it rips properly. Strange.
i tried out the Linux version and i am segging seg faults...
Where are you segfaulting ?
