    Re:black or flux?

I voted for Fluxbox because the apps are dockable 8) Thats one thing that really annoyed me in Blackbox.

tabs = ability to group a number of windows together and have them all use 1 window i.e you could say they are grouped on the same x,y values but on diffrent z values and then just switch in between the diffrent apps you have grouped together.
If i'm not misstaken you can with the latest flux start up a couple of apps in a group directly.

Now that I didn't know! Since KDE 3 has been *ahem*..."acting up" (read: mysteriously broken), perhaps it's time to give this feature a try.

    Re:black or flux?

I can honestly say that Fluxbox is the only WM that has never acted up on me ever, after usage of more than a month or so. Flux has outperformed the KDE and even GNOME setups always. And I dont mean just speed -- thats a given, even on Flux's bad days. But I mean, features never got quirkey, stopped working, etc. FWIW, Flux is probably the cleanest WM I have touched. I just got spoilt with GNOME2 ......
