    lexmark 1020 under linux

Hey all, I was doing some research on trying to get my lexmark 1020 working under redhat 7.3. It prints in windows, so everything is hooked right. The linuxprinting website has it listed as partially supported, but could be setup to emulate a HP DeskJet 500C. So, down to the point , has anyone else tried this rh/printer combo successfully? ???

Yeah, I tried the hp500 driver last night. Did not do a thing when I tried to print a test page. I have a canon bj in the garage I might stick in there and see if it will work (once I get a cartridge for it).

did you also restart lpd or cups? That could be a problem. I know the RedHat tool will automatically restart the daemon for you. However if you dont use RedHat I can t say for sure.
