    Wine surprise

    A friend of mine sent me a CD that had pictures and Quictkime movies and a Windows program to run them. Since I don't have Windows on my computer any more, I decided to give the latest version of wine a try. To my surprise everything worked! It ran the program, installed Quicktime, and I was able to view the movies on the CD. Even the sound was working. I was quite surprised! Too bad wine still wouldn't run Quickbooks ...

    thank the Crossover people for that

    they contribute a whole lot of their work back to the Wine project.

    excellent. i purchased the crossover plugin just for quicktime.

    I would be ecsatatic if Quickbooks worked in wine (or hell, with that wishful thinking get a native port).
