If you dont mind -- could you just post it here? I would be interested in both using it and reading the actual code. I have been getting (albeit slowly) back into scripting languages. Currently the only thing that I can really do anymore is C++ and Pascal (and alot of ASM for the 6502 and 6811 cpu's).
That was part of my original plan, I would never hide anything from you guys.. ;D
Like I said, the basic script works, I was just planning on adding functionality to it (ie. checking for suid, encoding all tracks to wav, or just specific ones, etc...)

I appreciate the sharing mood ;D I just suck so badly at this point, I am going to start back into things by taking tasks and see how some prople did it. Find the guru aproach and see how it differes from the novice.
well I have it updated some. There is still a major bug in it that I am trying to work out. Not in the lines that Pam gave me, but some addon stuff. I have it setup to ask if you want to encode an entire cd, or just individual tracks, somewhere in my tracknumber array is a problem, as it only encodes the last track# you enter. I was working on it till my wife decided I was keeping her awake in the bedroom. Maybe work more tomorrow. :-\
