Boca Tidalwave External Modem

Is it possible to get this modem to work under linux?

if so, could someone help me?

hello,
should be no problem at all, hook the modem up to a serial port, know which one you hooked it up to. If com 1 this will be /dev/ttyS0 in a linux system, com 2 will be /dev/ttyS1.

Now lets make sure it is enabled in the BIOS, many BIOS may have this disabled.

Boot into linux and lets see if we can query the modem - open the application minicom in a terminal (xterm, Eterm. konsole...). It may need to be set up so so this as user root. Set up should be self explanitory. Issue an command - ATZ should return something like an OK.

Well, still no go. I've tried everything I can think of to get to work, and I don't understand because it worked in windows, but Linux can't see it...
