Saw a good deal on "Perl Cookbook" ~$32 US shipped. So, should I start with this or get the learning perl book (the Llama book)? I have no concept of perl to begin with. What say all u perl peeps?

Considering Perl 6 is not far from release and that it'll be totally different (I wonder if that's good or bad...) from Perl 5, maybe you should post-pone buying a book.

Got any link on this?
cloverm: well, Larry Wall released the Apocalypse book number something about Perl 6. I guess that means they're not far from having a release.
http://dev.perl.org/perl6/ has a little info on it. Perl 5 is still going to be around for a good long while ( I mean look at all the websites and boxen that still use 5.005!). I have the Perl Bookshelf (which has the cookbook) and it is an excelent read.
[edit:gorn]changed Perl % to Perl 5[/edit]
