    New Keyboard - YAY

Well, I have my first new keyboard since I bought my first computer in 1993, a Dell 486 25MHZ, 4MB ram, 512kb onboard graphics memory!

That keyboard is the only piece of hardware to survive to today.

New keyboard is a Microslut Internet Keyboard. (My wife picked it out)

Keyboards are cheap man. I don't get it. I've spilt more than enough beer on all of mine.

Ah yes, that microslut ergo keyboard I had. Why, it functioned beautifully until the day I drank that 12th beer and then.....[message trunicated]

The keyboard has to be right. No denying that fact. For Me, the larger sized left Shift and Backspace keys are all important. Once I've gotten used to them, no other keyboard will do.

I've bought several keyboards in the past without inspecting the thing before making the purchase. Get it home, plug it in an THEN discover some small differences between old k'baord and new one that makes life miserable and convinces me that throwing the thing into the back of a closet is the best option.

Now I find myself in southern Germany and having to build some kind of friendship between myself and a very alien, seemingly sadistic,German keyboard.

    etc........
