I'm using OpenOffice.org in my small business and it's pretty good. I am using both Windows version and Linux.

Wasn't than during the failed Unix days? I remember hearing about it ... it was one of the few unix variants that were very unstable. Ironic, eh?

Dooo doo doo doo doooo. Oh, I'm just swingin' through.

By the way, I've been playing with Linux again--Debian to be exact. I still have my Windows 2000 box running, with a Mandrake 8.2 partition on it as well. Face it, some of us get bored.

Debian is on my K-6 500 box, and it works like charm.

How's this for MS pissing people off:

Ha ha. I don't know but I think things are going to get amusing.

With Goughmezz here? We'll be in tears in no time.

Can we say that people who use Windows like to be dominated when they make love? I mean, with all the "Microsoft owns everything on your computer and can do whatever it wants" clauses in the EULA of Windows, it makes you wonder how many got whips and hand-cuffs...

Well Vince, I'm curious about Linux once again. I'm also curious about MS's ever increasing control over a person's machine--ie--XP. So, when I'm forced to ditch 2000 then I'll decide whether to make the jump to XP or not. I'm sure it's a damn fine OS sans hardware locks and such.

Goughmezz: in SP3, there's a new clause in the EULA that states something like "Microsoft has the right to download patches on your computer at its discretion". This means that they could install Digital Rights Management patches (preventing you from doing many things, eg: mp3 sharing) without your prior consent, without you even knowing! How evil is that?

That's a jump into a fire. Why even bother? If you feel like re-installing every time you do a major upgrade, feel free. All don't froget about it's ability to attach to one computer, and one computer only. (BTW, in their EULA if you upgrade a certian amount of hardware, "THEY" consider it a new system causing you to have to buy another XP.)
