M$ is starting to piss people off really bad!!!

Ok. My Father, the computer illiterate, had a bad experience with M$ that finally put him over the edge. I won't go into detail, but I will say it had to do with miscellanious billing charges. Well, nuff said about that, he finally pronounced Linux correctly when he was asking me to put it on his computer in place of Winblows (I think I had a feeling like when a parent first observes their child starting to walk). The only thing he can't get away from is that damned Office Suite! Good thing for emulation. ;D

BTW. Does anyone know what that specific Win Office emulator app is, and will it support OfficeXP? :P

You must be thinking of Codeweavers CrossOver Office. http://store.yahoo.com/codeweavers-wine/index.html I think it only supports Office 97/2000 atm.

I think what my congested friend is trying to tell you is that OpenOffice is a pretty good equiv to MS Office.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume that OO is at least AS good as StarOffice, and thus can do Office files just perfect. Try Star or Open office. They are the only ones that could do my dad's or works' Office 97 format excel and word docs.

Can we say that people who use Windows like to be dominated when they make love? I mean, with all the "Microsoft owns everything on your computer and can do whatever it wants" clauses in the EULA of Windows, it makes you wonder how many got whips and hand-cuffs...
