    Sylpheed - blazing speed

Just discovered Sylpheed. It has got to be the fastest email client I have ever used. Surprised I have not heard more about it.

Both I and Ender are loyal Sylpheed users, AFAIK.

Surprised I have not heard more about it.
We have talked about that on this board before. May be you didn't noticed before ....

I have been known to "have blinders on" before. Downloaded ver 0.8.1 which I think is the latest version. Only two things I have found that I don't like is: 1) Hyperlinks don't work (at least for me) 2) Seeming lack of ability to change toolbars. These are actually minor - I think the program is great! I guess I need to pay closer attention to you and Ender!

I use Sylpheed on ym OpenBSD boxes. It is great for multiple emails. I like it at work, because I can set my amerivoice.com mail stop as a primary, and my beer.com, wi.rr.com and netscape.net as secondaries. At home, however I just stick with Netscape6 Mail

I also use Sylpheed, works very well & the gpg support is nice.

Anyone know if the claws package offers anything interesting?

    Regards

I have never used the normal version but claws so I'm not sure what are new .... The only thing I miss about my KMail is the ability to bounce mails. With KMail, I can set the rules to send the bounce message to those in the blocked list.

I"m sure I can do that in Sylpheed too but it will involve setting up a mail filter with some script.

I used Sylpheed Claws for a time under Mandrake 8.2. KMail wasn't really ready for me at the time but now, KMail doesn't everything brilliantly! (And of course, its written for Qt rather than Gtk)

Yep Sylpheed is one of the best mail clients out there imho, and it works also with newsgroups 8)
