Not just linux --- any OS. I had a WinNT box that had ssh running on it that I used putty to connect. And do remember that telnet is evil. Evil! Evil!!!!! EVIL I SAY! EVIL!

What?!? telnet isn't evil! I like transmitting my password in clear text across an unsecure connection. Doesn't everyone else??

EVIL EVIL EVIL ....
[me=Schotty]is still running around mad, yelling "EVIL" rather quickly, in a repeated fashion. To keep sanity in those fellow geeks -- SHOOT THE CRAZY MOFO BASTARD WITH THE RED FEDORA NOW!! Or just vdeotape it and sell it to America's funniest home videos.[/me]
I'm also a fellow putty user. SSH rules!

Shoot You???? I have a better idea.... I'll torture you! Lock you in a padded room, with nothing but a windows box. Your only way to do something without the box crashing is to telnet to a UNIX box. Then force you at gunpoint to use the computer! :P

Ditto! Especially if you use putty at work, and your work *requires* you to SSH into a Unix server. ;D
Wow, I was surprized to see there were so many fellow putty users!

Now are you sure the gunpoint is a good idea? In that situation he'd probably think that getting shot isn't the worst option after all. That wouldn't be a torture anymore. You must come up with something more evil. :P
