Anyone know where I can find good information on how debs and rpms expect to be handled (ie: SRPM/deb-source compiling, queries and generic queries, etc ...).

I have no clue as for debs, but rpms are pretty well documented on RH's site and the rpm.org or whatever they created. I do recall alot of data for developers there. Can I presume this is for your installer doohiggie?

Yup, I'm attempting to make it modular so the size of the code gets smacked down quite alot.
