[/quote]No, it was coming out of my garage, and I guess I'm gonna be shopping for a replacement 4.0 Liter Jeep 6 cylinder engine in the morning . >sob<
BTW; I CAN get some fairly scary sounds out of my speakers though. About a year ago, I ran across a website that had recordings of old F1 cars as MP3's. I got a late '70's Beniton doing a "hard start" very cool, but the absoloute COOLEST one was a 1953 B.R.M. F1 V-16!!!!!! 1.8 Litre making a hard run around Brands Hatch. The cars belong to Nick Mason, the drummer for Pink Floyd; That BRM is the NASTIEST sounding race car I've EVER heard, bar none.

Sorry to hear that your engine may need replacing. I just finished getting my alternator, voltage regulator, and battery fixed/changed out. May not seem like much, but try to get all of those parts for a 1995 Ford Aerostar van that was only released in the US. It's not fun trying to find parts on the internet and have them shipped to Turkey.

BTW...just another reason why you are the coolest member of the board (vasectomy story notwithstanding) is your unique mp3 collection. Do you remember which website had them? I would like to sample a few F1 mp3s.

    Cheers

    Re:It's been a while..

Unfortunatly, I don't remember what the website was, but I'll see if I can find it again, also, I think I have the MP3's backed up on a CD-RW, if I can find 'em, I could post them to you. You have GOT to hear that BRM!!! I've never heard a racing engine that sounded anything like it. I read an article on it many years ago, and it was a real exotic for it's time. 16 cylinders, dual overhead cams, mechanical supercharger, and 1.8 liter displacement. From what I read, NOTHING could compete with it, but it had a real bad reputation for mechanical problems. It was called an H-16, because the angle between the cylinder banks was 60 degrees, and with the D.O.H.C. setup, it looked like a letter H on it's side. I'd love to see a picture of one.
I'm gonna see if I can find the Mp#'s, and if I can, listen to hem on the best sound equipment you can, it's a real experience!!
