    comparing mac os X Darwin and other unixes

    4 questions from a os x newbie:
    1.does Darwin have any commands that other unix varieties dont?
    2. if i go $whereis darwin , what is the reply?
    3. is darwin posix compliant , i mean, is it compatible with the other
    unix varieties?
    4. does darwin have anything similar to apt-get? )

    There's fink. Never used it, but a friend of mine claims that it's a port of apt-get or dpkg or something.

    1. Not unless you add them (just as is with most all Unix systems)
