Well... it worked for "that company in Redmond". But really I know we have plenty of standards, but not one is following them.

well, more and more distro's are becoming LSB compliant.

Slow and painful.... but the main problem is that LSB really only documents the current trends in the distributions - they don't make any real decisions.
