    I would use it, you can't put a prize on the joy of using good software.... even if the price is VB (LC knows a bit of VB)

    I cant stand the crappy speed of VB, and the fact that (well, as far as I could tell) the language is made to make people dependent on visual tools to do all the work, and not to think for them selves.

    Thats my story and I am sticking with it.

    For those who can't get dvrip to work on their box try mencode, part of the Mplayer tool set (http://www.mplayerhq.hu). It can read from DVD, DiVX ;-), avi, mpg1/X, asf and can convert them to any of the other formats (Including multipass DivX ;-)).
