I was cruising around and found this on yahoo. A little more digging found this paper. Check it out, they were able to "teleport" a laser beam encoded with data.

I saw a quick story about this on Headline News when I got out of work this morning; they didn't say much, but they did mention that one of the uses would be for "Super-fast, Super secure portable computers." I can see the headlines now: "Local man transported to Proxima Centauri by his laptop, authorities blame security error in Outlook Express. MicroSoft refuses to comment."
