    Re:What's your user id?

    My UID is 405. I joined in July '01 sometime.

    As for the question to the order of who joined, it may be people that quit, and re-opened the UID again for someone else to use. GnuVInce didnt get hs old UID back.

    Since I am a nice guy, I will tell you

    The time in an AM/PM world goes like this :

    Midnight == 12AM == 00:00
    1AM == 01:00
    ..
    11AM
    NOON == 12 PM == 12:00
    1 PM == 13:00
    ..
    11PM
    MIDNIGHT == 12AM = 00:00

    Any questions still ?

    Ahh.. Things are getting clearer now. I still think it sucks though

    Who invented this AM/PM thing? I'll build a time machine and go kill that guy :P

    It was probably the same guy who thought inches, yards, miles, gallon etc. was a good idea. Oh, and also farenheit of course.

    8) Metric 8) -- I get soooo confused when I have to remember the various formulae for converting metric stuff back and forth. I also get confused when trying to remember what time it is locally, Eastern US Time, and GMT.

    That's stupid. I think it should be 12PM=midnight, then the equation of "PM + 12hrs = 24hr clock" would actually be correct.

    I hate imperial, too. People in the olden days were stupid. Metric rocks, and we need metric time badly. Too bad it never caught on...

    Imperial... :

    "Hey John, how tall are you?"
    "I'm not sure... how long are the king's feet?"

    Yeah, but many of these people with strange numbers registered in the first few days the site was up, and I don't think anyone quit by then. And also, I think most of the people with odd numbers, like myself, have ones that are later than they should be compared to the majority of the people here.
