I'm running fedora core 2 and I can't seem to make it recognise my D-Link Wireless card, any ideas?

Wireless NICs are notorius for Linux incompatibility. You'll have to check a Linux harware compatibility table (HCL) to be certain.

There is a product called ndiswrapper that allows you to use Windows NIC drivers under Linux. You can give that a try.
