    hardware for BIND server

I will soon be running a small mail server for my company and will be setting up a nameserver for it. Will a P4 1.5 GHz with 756 MB ram be sufficient for a BIND 9 DNS server?

That will be more than enough.

You can run in text mode if you feel the GUI will chew up RAM to be safe.
