    Microsoft isn't open sourcing anything... Bungee is, I doubt M$ had anything to do with it

    hmm .. interesting to see that MS is going to reveal some source code but its not directly from MS and its not a important program. I think that MS will never release any important code to the public.

    This is very interesting, but it is not an open source license.

    From the Microsoft license:

    "You are granted a non-exclusive license to do anything you want with the software, including but not limited to the right to make modifications to the software provided that all use of the software is for non-commercial purposes."

    From the Open Source Definition:

    "6. No Discrimination Against Fields of Endeavor
    The license must not restrict anyone from making use of the program in a specific field of endeavor. For example, it may not restrict the program from being used in a business, or from being used for genetic research."

    Discrimination against people who use this software to make money is clearly present.

    Microsoft promised Bungee full autonomy, so this is Bungee's doing, not Microsoft's.
