most people aren't able to get here because linuxjunior.pinehead.com is no more, it expects www.linuxjunior.org, but thats still the old ip for some of us.

    the fix is in /etc/hosts:

    Code:
    216.40.241.2 www.linuxjunior.org linuxjunior.org
but i dunno how anyones gonna read this if it's broken

Why does changing DNS settings have to be this slow and painful? Am I doing something wrong? Or the whole DNS system is just a screwed up technology? >

i haven't changed dns before, the linuxjunior.pinehead.com should have stayed working until the dns change was complete though.

pinehead: nice of you to do that. thanks a lot! I'll be sure to look into pinehead networks if I ever need hosting.

cloverm: thanks for a great job on the site!

I've had trouble getting the website to remind me of my password... luckily I found it in a backup folder.

My email or the site ?

It can take up to 72 hours for a change in DNS to spread across the internet.
