Password needed for submitting news?

since when is a password needed for sumbitting news? i tried to submit something the other day and i could'nt.

cloverm, i e-mailed you about getting a password for that , did you get it?

hmm .. is every user allowed to submit news .. if so i would also like to write 1 or 2 articles from time to time

Submitting news has always been password protected. I need to limit the users that can submit news. Also, imagine if anybody could submit anything that will appear on top of the front page. Some people would abuse that, I'm afraid.

If you want to submit news, just let me know, I'll set you up.

In that case I suggest that you email the link to the article to one of the LJR members that have access to submitting news.

Why dont you just create and email addy that can be used for this. Just put a link on the page for submitting new and you or a mod can review it and post it

Oh , i didnt know that. I just assumed that anyone could submit news.

Excellent idea. Then you can alias that address to your own email address or something....
