Where's the sysadmin when you need him
Does anyone know any way of getting ahold of Anthony James from Pinehead? The phone number posted on the pinehead website is disconnected and no email is accepted @pinehead.com. Did he ever post any another email address on any other boards?

Re: Moving site - scheduled downtime

Well I have the site set up on phpwebhosting. It can be accessed from http://www.linuxjunior.com . The only problem is that the database is the last good backup I had and it was on the 14th of May, almost a month old.
Unless I can get FTP access to the Pinhead server again, we have these options:
1.) Figure out how to extract files from the RAQ4 backup file.
2.) I can still get to the MySQL database. If I ran the conversion utility of the YaBB SE version, it would load the board data to the MySQL database, I would take this data an load it to the mySQL database on phpwebhosting. Then we would switch to YaBB SE there (that would make Lovechild happy!) Problem is, the there are still bugs in it and I have very little time to work on it. I'll be going on vacation (again!) on the 7th on June until the 28th, so nothing will get done during this time.

I'd prefer #1, but I'm not sure if it can be done.

The new version of Yabb SE (PHP/mySQL) just came out literally a few minutes ago (I was setting up the previous version when I got the news flash!).
So I'll be working on setting it up tonight. If everything is good to go I will put this board in maintenance mode again and transfer all the data. Wish me good luck!

Re: Moving site - scheduled downtime

I think I have everything is good to go now on the new server. Please go to http://www.linuxjunior.com and check everything out. If you find any bugs or problems, please add your comments to this thread here. Do not post important stuff on the new board, the database there will be deleted!
After I fixed the problems I will put this board in maintenace mode and move all the stuff over to the new server. This will take place sometime around 8:00pm EST. After that the new site will be officially *open and this board stays closed. I will initate the domain transfer of linuxjunior.org.
Important: You will have to log in on the new board. If you don't have your password email me at cloverm@linuxjunior.com
