    For the Laptop:
    10:25am up 18 min, 1 user, load average: 0.45, 0.35, 0.25
    w00t !!

and my Desktop PC is currently preparing for compiling LFS, soo less than an hour

I turn my PC off when I don't need it, no need to waste the energy.

And I'm turning off my server today, to install a new HD - Soo I'll spoil the exellent uptime it has - soo no need to post it here

    Re: uptime -a

i usually shut mine off everyday. i used to leave it on all the time, i dont use it for heavy computing, plus it's only me so i'm not going to be putting any sort of a load on it.

As far as i concerned uptime is just how long my pc has been on ;D ;D, my windows pc stays on for weeks at a time with no problem, i dont use it that much but the uptime is still weeks ;D ;D
