Hi,

I am using Kontact to download my mails from a pop server. but i had noticed that after i read a message, it will not be marked as Read. anybody who knows how to set this? i dont want to use the "Mark selected message as read after ** sec" what i want is that it will be marked read after actually reading the message.

in my case, i set it the "Mark selected message as read after ** sec" to "0" seconds. that way, it will be marked as read the instant i open up, or read, the mail.

HI Hombre, that is also same setting like mine before, but messages will be automatically marked as Read even after highlighting only(not open/read)

any tricks on this???

hmm, unlike thunderbird's option (Mark message read after displaying for *** seconds), kmail (kontact's mail component) marks messages even without displaying it. i dont know if there are tricks to do this, but opening the message preview pane by default saves me this small "quirkiness" of kde's kmail.
