    Re: Anyone get the W32.Goner.A@mm virus?

    I received a strange email today:

    Code:
    --====_ABC1234567890DEF_====
    Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
         boundary="====_ABC0987654321DEF_===="

    --====_ABC0987654321DEF_====
    Content-Type: text/html;
         charset="iso-8859-1"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

    <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff>
    <iframe src=3Dcid:EA4DMGBP9p height=3D0 width=3D0>
    </iframe></BODY></HTML>
    --====_ABC0987654321DEF_====--

    --====_ABC1234567890DEF_====
    Content-Type: audio/x-wav;
         name="stuff.MP3.pif"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-ID: <EA4DMGBP9p>
    And it has a binary attachement. Is this it?

    Anyway, it's a good thing to run Linux and be immune to these. ;D

    I think that might be W32BadTrans, from the double extention. It's been doing the rounds the last few days.

    My users recieved it but a warning went round before hand so no-one was hit. Only a division in the south that sent us it in the first place.

    Dumb ass's

    I've seen it on my network, but no one opened it (we issued a warning in time). Plus we do not use any M$ products for anything remotely related to email on our network. So that saved us some trouble.

    Why don't people just make notepad open .vbs files and the likes instead... no more outlook virus problems... OH that's right, Windows users are stupid !

    I had that virus too. Sylpheed doesn't appear to be vulnerable despite my clicking on everything that seemed clickable. :P ;D

    Virus writing is now considered a hate crime.

    My favorite part is the last few sentences.

    It's not so much that they are stupid, it's that these people sit behind a computer for 8 hours a day and receive e-mails and send e-mails all day long and they dont know NOT to open something like that, i thinkit's ignorance, they just dont WANT to know the right thing to do.

    I love viri. so annoying, yet so clever. does anybody know what i mean?

    /me laughs because linux users dont have to worry bout the viruses that come out.
