Re: To all the daddies and mommies

Creedon, I can't resist dethroning you as the oldest coot here. *I'll be 56 in April. *I've been married 30 yrs. and have a son, age 25 and daughter, age 20. *My son has three children, daughter is 5, first son is 2 and youngest is 9 mos. *My wife is 54 and she is proof that linux is ready for the desktop. *She has no interest in installing, compiling, configuring, etc., but she prefers X to windows, particulary gnome. *She likes it mainly for word processing, surfing and the gnome games. *
DUDE!!!! *Yer my new best friend!!! *I've been feelin' *like a chaperone here. *Us old guys gotta stick together, otherwise these needle-dick young punks'll cut us down one at a time. *FOSSILES FOREVER!!! *;D ;D ;D

The hardest one to have and raise is the first one. After that they get so much easier. By the time the second one arrives, you have pretty much resigned yourself no longer having a life ;D just kidding.

I have 4 daughters ages 8 to 17 (and a gun, a shovel, and 2000 acres) and I wouldn't trade one second of time with them for anything. Life is so much better as a daddy!!

I agree, the first one is indeed tough, but the rest keep getting easier. I wish I had 2000 acres of land, though. My daughters will start dating in about 10 yrs. or so. But, I do know of some prime swamp land in Louisiana !

nerky and creedon - I'm right behind you. I'll be 51 in May.

From my first marriage I have a girl 28, a boy 25 and a girl 22. In this marriage I have step children, girl 20, girl 17, boy 16, boy 15 and and a boy that is mine 8. I also have 5 grand children. My 25 year old son works with me here and is an avid Linux user. My wife is still a microserf but she's coming around. My 8 year old uses my Linux box at home to play all the Gnome games, has his own logon and protects it from his brothers religiously.

BTW - after the 8 year old was born, mama was tied so no more rug rats. I just have this thing about anybody getting close to my meebs with a knife!

Congratulations! That is great! Only word of advice: watch out for the built in sprinkler system! Use the diaper to shield yourself! May the force be with you!

    Yay, FOSSELS UNITE ;D

I havw a son (18 ) and daughter (15) from the first marriage. Son (12) and daughter (9) from the second. I may only have an acre, but I do have several guns and a couple of shovels too ;-).

The 15 yr old can be TRYING at times, but I wouldn't want it any other way. BTW the 12 yr old plays a mean game of Quake III Arena What fun!

<edit>Oh yeah, 46 here, right behind you other fossels</edit>
