Mailserver for Local LAN

Pls I want to create a mailserver for a local LAN for my college where we can all send mails all within the local LAN. support for windows outlook express. Thank u sir

its gus to have mailserver running for ur LAN.
but before selecting any MTA u should better plan the things like how many users and how many accounts and pop and smtp n all.
but as far as i suggest for smalll purpose or practise or study u should go for
SENDMAIl or POSTFIX.
for better queue management QMAIL.
