    Being ALERT

I'm working for Cingular Wireless as a cust care rep... And looking for a new job... But I at times have a difficult time staying awake... What should I do to keep me awake... Gum, tabacco or what...

Are you working night shift? Tabacco is a bad idea, period. Try mountain dew, coffee, or nodoze, if you can handle caffeine. If you have internet, just surf over to this site (that's partly how I stay awake) ;D. Otherwise, it is hard to give good advise. Try a good book or magazine.

I suggest apples. These things can keep you more awake than coffee and they're good for you and are cheaper. Go for the apples

Stimuli will keep you awake. Stimuli can be in the form of:

    1. Bright lights
    2. Loud noises
    3. Cold temperatures (warmness is conducive to sleep, coldness wakes you up, makes you alert).
    3. Moving
    4. Caffeine, in any of it's forms (pop, coffee, etc).

It's not hard to come up with things that keep you awake.

Try just washing your hands/face in cold water, it'll wake you up

Have a workmate squeeze one of your testicles with a pair of pliers. That should liven things up a little.

The best thing is to just always stay busy with something. There is usually always something to do.
