    dos can have kernel panics if programs write to reserved memory. It breakes way to easily.

    dos doesnt crash often..if ever...except it crashes after you use fips, but what wouldnt?
    You're right, DOS has never crashed! Although, DOS doesn't do other silly things like multitask or display pictures, either.

    You're joking, right? Because that's funny. First of all, Dos doesn't have a kernel. Only protected mode operating systems do. Second, while a program is running, Dos has no control over the computer at all. A program could even take over the system and become the operating system, like Novell does. Furthermore, a program in Dos can write to wherever it wants. Once I wrote a program that stored various numbers in the interrupt vector table. Obviously it locked up, as I expected it to, but that was because the processor didn't know what to do and it had nothing to do with Dos.
