    Rip-off artists

There is some outfit here in town that claims to train people for high-paying computer jobs in a ten week "boot camp". People pay $15,000 and get trained in Java, C++ or "web design" (html?) and are told that they will, upon completion, be able to get jobs paying $45,000 to $80,000 a year.

Are they nuts? Who the hell is going to really learn anything in that program, ley alone, what employer wants a programer who's only experience and training is a ten week class. Geez, this even legal?

Sounds hokey to me. Of course, I'm no expert. I have looked into Linux boot camps, but the ones I've looked at don't last that long, nor do they make such grandiose claims.

    It's probably a scam, but I doubt it's illegal.
