How did you find out. I've never heard this and I got a yahoo e-mail address.

they're going to charge for pop access(yahoo that is)

I've had a softhome account for awhile, and while they say they send ads, I rarely ever receive them.

one place I just found out about, linuxfreemail.com. haven't really used them much yet, but they provide IMAP and pop3, and access to PINE via telnet. I'm not sure what the catch is yet though....

linuxfreemail.com sounds good. I just signed up. Softhome sounds good but they ask so many personal questions you just know there giving away all your information.

is the "it" supposed to be there in "but it what if..."? just trying to figure out what you mean.

yeah, I suppose if you apply for a job in a windows environment and have an email address like linuxfreemail, it won't look all that professional... but meh, I don't have to worry about that yet!
