    My courses for next year...

Well, it's that time of year around here again, time to pick courses to take next year, so far I think I'm going with:
    (codes: 521 = grade 11, academic, 1 credit. F = french immersion course. AF=all year)

    Mat 521A
Mat 521B (recommended to take both math courses if you want to go into sciences or business career)
    Eng 521A
    Fre 521F (<-french immersion course)
Sociology 621F (Sociology in french, grade 12 course)
    Political Science 521

now the last couple I can't decide on... I was thinking about going back into band this year, and that would mean taking Mus 521AF and Bio 521AF, but I don't think I will, since I'm not all that great of a musician, and I don't like Biology.
I need at least one science, which will probably be Chemistry, because the grade 12 Physics program is supposed to be a lot more interesting(and the only pre-req for it is grade 10 math).

So that leaves one more slot... the course I'm leaning more towards is Computer Literacy 521(find info on courses here: http://www.edu.pe.ca/bluefield/handbk/cdes.htm), or Computer Studies 621, even though they both sound pretty dumb. I figure I should get ONE of them... heck, maybe I'll even learn something!

Anyway, any recommendations from the peanut gallery?

Well, I don't know what grade you're in (since you reference both 11th and 12th grade courses)... but I would highly suggest taking ecomonics (Eco 621A-051). If you do have a chance to choose variety of econ, I would suggest Micro over Macro. (Micro is econ as applied in a business or individual, whereas macro is the study of global economic system, compromised of micro systems).

History is also a very immersive subject to take. The knowledge of ones roots and past events can help us in the future, as events such as these are bound to occur again. His 631B-061 sounds like a very interesting course.

Other than that, really no other courses that look interesting. Band was always a fun course for me though, if that makes a difference.

I'm in grade 10 right now, registering for grade 11 courses.

The reason I'm Soc 621F is because that course and Law 521F are offered on alternate years, so I'll probably take Law 521F when I'm in grade 12.

and yeah, I definately plan on taking economics I'm kicking myself cause I didn't take history this year. I didn't think the french immersion history course(which I took) would be contemporary history. Turns out that His 421F and Geo 421A, both of which I took, cover basically the same thing... ah well

that'd be nice, but no, it's just a french immersion course.

actually, I could have applied for an exchange to Quebec through school, but I didn't bother.. besides, there wouldn't be any place for the exchange student I got to sleep at my house
