If you haven't heard yet, Layne Staley (the lead singer in Alice in Chains) was found dead a day ago. They're not exactly sure what caused it.

Today is a sad day...
I heard about that last night. Me and my friends dismissed it as a drug overdose as well. Unfortunate, as Alice In Chains was an AWESOME band and that guy was cool as hell.
Oh well. Life goes on (for now, at least).
Probably an OD of some sort. Either that or a suicide. Alice In Chains hasn't been around much lately though. Too bad. Dirt was a great album.

It's impossible to OD on pot alone. In order to OD on pot you need to smoke 2000 pounds in 15 minutes... it is literally not feasible. Even taking it introvenously would be hard, but it would be possible because you're not in control of how much THC is entering your body. Over time you would eventually OD, but only after a high amount has entered your blood stream. But you would probably pass out before that happened anyway (another reason why you can't OD while smoking).

He was found in his seattle home, surrounded by Herion Perf. The autopsy hasn't been done/released yet, so it's impossible to tell if he died of an OD, or of natural causes.
His loss will be mourned.... :'(
